But the real deal is up in Sunset Park - 5th Ave. between Prospect Parkway & 65th St. is one long stretch of Mexican shops & restaurants full of amazing taquerias and places to buy those big Mexican sandwhiches called tortas. Also, there's a great bakery/ lunchcounter on 4th Ave & 47th St. called "Panaderia Don Paco Lopez" that has some real-deal treats from Puebla, and the original Los Pollitos is located just up the way on 4th between 59th & 60th streets (a rare case of a Sunset Park joint colonizing Park Slope). Also, if you're in Sunset Park, don't forget all the great Vietnamese Banh Mi (sandwhich) shops on 7th Ave between 61st & 55th streets, or the amazing Dim Sum palace on the corner of 8th Ave & 61st or the Turkish place on 8th & 60th, etc., etc., etc. Sunset Park is Brooklyn's best and cheapest eats! Harlem, there is El Paso Taqueria on 97th between Park and Madison. Their tamales cost 2-something. They offer several kind, never seem to run out, and they are very very good.
