I went to Londel’s because of your review, but my favorite chicken and waffles shop will remain Charles’ Southern Kitchen. I like a fluffier waffle and the chicken at Charles’ has tastier crust and more meat on the bones. It also bothered me that Londel’s serves Nestea ice tea. The wait staff is really nice at Londel’s, though. Have you tried Charles’ at FredDouglas and 152nd or the take out shop nearby? I’m curious what you think.

Ditto on the full posts over Gothamist. Although your straight food reviews are good, on your site, you talk about your fares, your good days, your bad, your trips to various neighborhoods – more than just about food. You put food in its’ proper context – as reflecting the kick-ass, surreal kaleidoscope that is NYC. Excellent stuff, Dave.
