Mm, god I love noodles-in-soup in rainy/bad weather. Which we’re due for some tonight, right? Mm. Too bad this place scares me a bit. I like Ony over on West 4th.

“Eh” on the review….it seemed as though you had a word count you had to meet [as in a Freshman HS paper] and threw in all the nationalities to make it work.
Who cares if there are authentic cooks making the dishes – I mean I get the point – they are all over the map when it comes to menu items – but it was less of a review than a page filler.
I absolutely love your blog and you know this – but I think you phoned that review in Bubby!
Hope you don’t mind me reviewing your review……

Skippy Mommy,
Yes, I did have a word count. My editors still give me word counts. That isn’t just a high school thing. But usually the work comes editing these things DOWN. I think the shorter the limit (for these little NFT blurbs it’s 100 to 200 words) the tougher it is to write.
You are right though. I’ve had great food cooked by people who come from nowhere near where the dish originates. Still, all I had to say about this place is that it’s probably best to talk to the chef to get his rec rather than guess at the all-over-the-map menu.
I wish I could have helped more than I did, but I only went there once. And I do NOT mind the review of the review. I feel like that’s half the point of the comments page.
Keep Reading and I’ll Keep Writing,
Dave
