Dear Famous Fat Dave,
I am taking a New York girl out on a first date Thursday evening. I’ve never taken a New York girl out on a Thursday before. Usually it’s Wednesdays or maybe Saturdays. We are going for Italian. She is allergic to nuts..hopefully not mine though. What advice can you give me?

I definitely remember you taking the 2000 (or was it 99?) Best of Village Voice, carrying it around with you like the bible, just to cross off every place they listed for cheap eats. Brilliant.
