I actually used to work with a relative of the Katz's here in CA. It was heartbreaking to hear that another landmark will bite the dust. However, I COULD use this as leverage to get Mike to bring me and the kids back to NYC before it goes all "MOD" on us! They opened a "soul food" restaurant near us in Foothill Ranch, CA called "Rosies". The kids were so excited thinking they would get something similar to Ruthie's, but alas, not even CLOSE! Ruthies was by far their favorite on our tour! It was exactly one year ago coming up next week. Your tour was one of the highlights of our trip and we hope to make it back soon. Love the blog.
