His Family’s All Rats, He Would Have Grown Up To Be A Rat
Chinese New Year is almost over (it’s a two week long celebration in case you didn’t know). So if you didn’t get a chance to go throw some whipper snappers at the parade this year, check out the two Holiday Foods webisodes I did for History Channel. It’s the year of the Rat!!:

DON’T GET ME STARTED. I almost quit History Channel because of it. I feel very strongly about it. But I’m in no position to start making demands.
I’m working on a deal right now with a production company that contacted me after History contacted them about me. I’m trying to get EP credit on that show so if that makes it on air I’ll be wearing my Phillipe’s French Dip shirt and the like. I already wrote in an episode about Thai food in LA so I can come visit you and Keith and the gang.

I love that classic yellow cab. Did you get it just for the webisodes?

I love the checker too.
This is rented just for the webisode and I rented one to do the Food Network pilot and the Bourdain segment. And if I do that show I emailed you for Newark questions on (thanks for that by the way, we did go with the seabra place) I definitely have one.
But I’m looking to buy a Checker right now. It’d be great to do the tour in and I just feel like King of New York when I drive around in it. Everyone is smiling and waving. It’s crazy phenomenon in a hard hearted town like this.

King of New York as in Christopher Walken, “A nicklebag gets sold in the park, i want IN!”, King of New York? wow, you are getting powerful there, Dave.

I think he means King of New York as in Isaac Hayes, Escape from New York, “A-Number One Muthafucka” King of New York. But that requires driving a 1977 Cadillac Eldorado with inverted lampshades on the hood.
