I like a fluffier waffle and the chicken at Charles' has tastier crust and more meat on the bones. It also bothered me that Londel's serves Nestea ice tea. The wait staff is really nice at Londel's, though. Have you tried Charles' at FredDouglas and 152nd or the take out shop nearby? I'm curious what you think. I’d scoured Harlem in search of great fried chicken and waffles for many years without finding anything worth writing home about. Finally, I discoverd Londel’s, and it has become my new favorite. But that didn’t make me any less eager to try Roscoe’s. I’ve heard so many good things about it, my mouth was watering the moment I woke up on the day we planned to go. Although your straight food reviews are good, on your site, you talk about your fares, your good days, your bad, your trips to various neighborhoods - more than just about food. You put food in its' proper context - as reflecting the kick-ass, surreal kaleidoscope that is NYC. Excellent stuff, Dave. Ditto on the full posts over Gothamist.
